Paralegals take oath to maintain highest standard of ethics and human values
Campaign for Promotion of Community Paralegalism in Nepal (CPCPN) and Morning Bell Media House jointly organized an orientation program for Paralegals in Lamki, Kailali of Far west Nepal. The orientation was organized with a view to sensitize on the ethics and code of conduct for paralegals. The newly inducted paralegals took an oath on the occasion. 
Speaking to a community gathering president of CPCPN Prabhakar Bagchand said, paralegals who are rooted to the ground need to demonstrate highest standard of ethics and human values. He said, Paralegals should maintain the honor and tradition of Paralegalism. The idea behind paralegalism is that everyone should have knowledge of law. Law has to be the language of everyone and every day .
Speaking on the occasion CEO of Morning Bell Media House and paralegalism activist Rama Bhattarai said,women are poor because they do not realize many of our laws are discriminatory. We should strive to educate more women on laws and how they can be used to fight systemic discrimination. We need new breed of women barefoot lawyers. We can transform the lives of women through law.
Addressing the orientation program psycho-social counselor Rajkumar Jairu said , women folks are under constant stress in families and neighborhood. They have the responsibility of running families. We should thus, create a friendly environment at homes so that women can share their problem with family and friends.
Taking oath as a Paralegal Bandana Pahadi said, by becoming a paralegal I have got a sense of purpose. My life has been meaningful. Paralegal Krishna Dev Bhatta and Paralegal Parbati Nath also expressed similar views.
The one day long orientation of Paralegal was facilitated by secretary of CPCPN Dinesh Nepali.
